The reason behind it all

George's Journey

George was diagnosed with Wilms tumor, a type of kidney cancer that primarily affects children. What followed were surgery, treatment, long days at the hospital, and all the uncertainty that comes with a childhood cancer diagnosis. His fight with childhood cancer didn't end when treatment did. It became the reason behind George Says Cancer Sucks — raising awareness and putting encouraging decals into the hands of kids and families in treatment.

Why we keep doing it

The Treatment Ended. The Mission Didn't.

George's treatment ended, but our connection to childhood cancer didn't.

We remember what it was like to be the family sitting in the hospital room. We remember the long days, the uncertainty, and the people who did little things that made those days a little better.

THE DECALS ARE OUR LITTLE THING.

They're not going to cure cancer. They're not going to make treatment easier. But sometimes something as simple as a sticker can make a kid smile, make a parent laugh, or remind a family that there are people out there who understand what they're going through.

And sometimes those little things travel farther than we ever imagined. What started with George has grown into decals being sent to hospitals across the country. We’ve seen them on cars far from home, and every one is a reminder that childhood cancer connects families and communities everywhere.

So we keep making them. And we keep giving them away.
